Meet the Owners
There are few people more passionate about serving seniors than Chris Skiff. His entire career has been focused on developing outstanding senior communities. With his award-winning communities he seeks to shatter the “old folks home” stereotype that prevents many seniors from enjoying the truly improved quality of life available in communities such as The Manse on Marsh.
A UCLA honors graduate, Chris began developing affordable senior apartments at just 23 years old with the largest developer of its kind on the West Coast, and has since been involved in over 20 senior communities.
Mr. Skiff has been happily married to his college sweetheart, Laura, for over 30 years. They have been blessed with 5 wonderful children, two of which were adopted from Russia. Chris and Laura are devout Christians, seeking to honor The Lord through their business and to compassionately serve others every day.
Laura, also a UCLA graduate with Master degrees in Engineering and Landscape Architecture, puts her talents to work every day at The Manse. As Marketing Manager, Interior and Landscape Designer, she can be seen creating bits of “home sweet home” everywhere. From designing The Secret Garden, Bird Aviary, and Show Models to showcasing residents in TV commercials and print ads, she is a woman who is enthusiastic and energetic about helping all our residents feel right at home.
